The leadership of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria, PMAN Rivers State Chapter has commended plans by global music sensation and Grammy Award Winning Artiste, Burna Boy to bring home a global event tagged the Burna Boy Festival to Port Harcourt, Rivers State in December this year.
Governor of PMAN in Rivers State, Tamunotonye Gbenga Wariboko who stated this in a statement, while highlighting the significance of the move, said it will place Rivers State in the world map and make it become a tourism destination to boost the economy of the state, as well as boost the ecosystem of the entertainment industry in the state during the yuletide.
The statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, PMAN Rivers State, Comrade Victor Effiong popularly known as Maestro Vic, said the union was committed to working with BURNA BOY and his team to ensure the event becomes a huge success.
The statement further enjoined youths of the state to shun violence and all acts capable of disrupting the peace of the state.
