Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Heritage House, Port Harcourt, Lanre Oluseye has pledged his support for the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Gospel Community Wing, Rivers State.

Pastor Lanre Oluseye made the commitment when executives of the PMAN Gospel Community Wing Rivers State paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Port Harcourt.

The clergyman congratulated the union for the feat to have emerged the first Gospel Community Wing of PMAN in Nigeria, saying the move will create the enabling platform for gospel creatives to thrive in their various crafts.

He said he supports any move or project aimed at promoting and spreading the message of Jesus Christ, and thus, was readily available to assist the PMAN Gospel Community Rivers State with anything they would need for the growth and stability of the union.
Earlier, leader of the delegation and Acting Chairman, PMAN Gospel Community Wing Rivers State, Mercy Reginald Otuene, known by her stage name, Sista Mercie, said the group paid the courtesy call to formally introduce the union and its leadership team to Pastor Lanre and the church leadership following their significant contributions to the growth of gospel music and ministry in Rivers State and beyond.

Sista Mercie on her speech read on behalf of her executives, requested the support and partnership of the House on the Rock, Heritage House to enable them build a formidable PMAN Gospel Community Wing in Rivers State, as such will provide a solid platform for the younger generation of gospel creatives to thrive.

She equally used the medium to call on gospel creatives in the state to identify with PMAN, saying their distancing themselves over the years from the organization which is the only government authorized trade union of the entertainment industry in Nigeria, has led to missed opportunities, lack of protection for intellectual property, and limited access to the rights and privileges associated with being part of the entertainment value chain.

Other members of the delegation included the state representative, Maestro Vic, Vice Chairman Pamela Scott, Public Relation's Officer Tagi Gabriel, Organizing Secretary Jazz King, and Assistant Secretary Dr Kadi.
